Palm Sunday

Yes, we celebrated the Palm Sunday in Holy Trinity Church... People gathered awaiting for the blessing of the Palms. People from all walks of life are all excited to start the Lenten Season. For all of their reasons, i still proudly say...Filipinos are still religious...

The Living Room Evolution...

Would you go for a distinct look?... Or something with comfort? Actually, the last pic was my new living room. Though i love the style of my old living room, with my hard wood japanese sofa, it compromise my need for comfort. Honestly, my mother is always complaining that the wood is so hard to sit in and was not too comfty. I bought the japanese sofa last November 2009 because im looking for a japanese themed living room, and voila, i found one and i know its a great deal. Ive been looking for the same kind for so long and this one is I thought perfect for the theme. Unfortunately, and by experience, i cannot last long sitting on the hardwood even if pillows are there for relieve, its just too hard and painful on the butt! So one time when i was in a mall just trying to look for a replacement, i saw this cream sofa made of real wood and leather. It was a perfect choice because it looks like the one in the 4th edition of real home living magazine, the color book which became my inspi

Tuesdays with Mati...

What a better way to spend a whole day than to spend it with closest friends. Since the plan was to held it on Tuesday, we filed our leaves and planned our foods. Admittedly, we are all very excited for we knew that its gonna be a whole day of fun and laughter. In fact, it's meant for celebration, for Tita Grace and Ely, two of our former colleague and closest friend recovering from medical treatment. These are the people who can probably say, I survived the challenge. Indeed, they are the strongest who fought and had won the battle against sickness. And i say, its time for rejoicing through great stories, great food and great place. The hosts, Atty Mati as we call him, and His wife, Myla, bought a 4000 sqm farm lot in San Felipe, Cuenca Batangas. It was a tremendous effort to transform this barren lot into a well developed sanctuary. And after two years, the place was heaven for the couple and their friends. Ive been here for several times. And on these three occassions, i cant he

Non Stressful Diet Plan...

This is me last February 2009 when i finally decided that its time for me to loose weight . And this is me before the year ends (December 2009) after 10 months of reading and following the The French Dont Diet Plan. They say, no pain, no gain, and i should say, its not painful at all, I never starved myself, i never skipped meal, i never enrolled in the gym, all of these are product of a healthy eating and living... Im still following the book. I still maintained my weight. Im still enjoying my eating. I ate desserts, i ate rice, i ate pork, beef, i drink dairies... And yet im not worried...cause i ate healthy. (Note : I may still look chubby, but the scale is my witness on how much i loose)

My Lucky 9!

I tried my guts to have my weight measured again. Ive been skipping this routine for so long because my weight seems to overshoot as the days passed. Luckily, we had this blood pressure monitoring everyweek as part of our healthy program here in the office. And there is the weighing scale on the dispensary tempting me to know the improvement on my weight. I was worried. I might be depressed if it doesnt work. But nevertheless, i want to know the truth.I weighed 89 kilos last december. Imagine how chubby (over chubby am I)?. I never used the term mataba cause it always hurts my ego. Of course no one wants to be called as such. Thats politically incorrect, right? From then i never took the measure again. Weighing scale seems like a ghost on me. I never want to see it. Never did i wish that i will be receiving it as a christmas gift. A big NO!But i was surprised, i am now 9 kilos lower than my previous weight. With just a matter of less than a month of my diet plan! Amazing!Actually, my

I am Happily Fooled...

I should say. I was really fooled. I was. The French Dont Diet Plan is fooling me because as said, there will be no dieting and i can eat everything...but its not. I am continuously taking small bites, making my plate smaller and my appetite lesser. In fact i had cut my normal eating volume in half. Thats dieting for us!But i am quite happy on the way i ate my food. Yes, i eat what i want, but in moderation of course. I spend a lot of time eating because as the book suggest, i should taste the food, the aroma, the sweetness and taste of it. In fact, i became more disciplined on eating, getting only what i need, eating less but not feeling less. How awesome!Being an honest person who says if im bloated or not, gorgeous or not, depressed or not, i do know when im fat and when im not. I can simply feel it. And being blessed by a body that was reacting like a balloon (yeah, i can loose and gain weight so easily), this diet plan is the most suited for me. Before, I can eat a lot or I can ea

First Step on Loosing Weight

January 2009. Im afraid if someone is taking pictures of me. I was never like this before. Im playful with the camera, im confident and liked to be photographed. Lately, i noticed that i was way too fat and becoming fatter every day. And with each angle, i am so concious to pose and hide those love handles. I even hated some pictures because of those noticeable bulges on me. I definitely changed size and it doesnt looked good on me. Until my boss gave me one of the greatest gift last christmas. It was a book from Dr. Will Clower entitled "The French Dont Diet Plan". A natural dietary plan which discourages dieting. Isnt it amazing? With someone who have the most appetite for something worth eating and enjoying everything the table can offer, this book is one of the greatest companion. A much better alternative than those popular dieting plans. Now i am eating rich foods for a hopeful effortless weight loss! And like Julia Child...she believes people should eat what they love.

Clutters....Everywhere

Study table for Php 500.00 Computer Table for Php 150.00 Wickered Side Table (2pcs) Php 300.00 T shirts for Php 25.00 Pillow cases Php 10.00 Curtains Php 50.00 Plastic Flowers including the vase Php 75.00 Pedestal (terracotta) Php 40.00 This is what i wanted to do, to open a garage sale. I still have pieces that i like to dispose. I was watching " Clean House " yesterday and was enjoying it. I am so amazed how a house was transformed by getting rid of all the clutters and items that they dont really need. And how did they do that? Well, through a yard sale! Well, they say, you win some, you loose some, and this is the essence of Clean House, you have to let go of other things to get other things. Looking at my house right now, i can say, theres a lot of things that i dont really need, things that accumulated in years. Some of them are my purchases, some are gifts and some are just there because of sentimental value. Well, we filipinos tend to be sentimental always, especiall

On Our Wedding...

This is where our wedding reception will be. Butterflies will be all over the place. Birds and flowers will dominate the reception. I know youll be as lovely as those flowers... You and i will be the centerpiece. Our guests are free to choose the best seat. They will enjoy the great and healthy foods that they will offer. My dream is for us to be a better and healthy family. And i know we better start it here, right here. Well. This is at Sonyas Garden. A place to be shared with someone so special. Its definite, Sonyas garden is a place to be. But for now, i still have to look for that special someone to share this place with.

Breakfast at Antonios

Seems like i had my 33rd birthday in Breakfast At Antonios . I can say, its one of the best places that i had been, not to mention the delicious foods that they had. The place is great, especially these wonderful pieces! Enjoy.... And how about the grandeur stairs leading to the lower dining area . Those big pots are driving me insane! Wish this six seater dining table is mine. Very simple and yet so elegant! Oh, that lovely furniture with intricate carving! Btw, i cant help but to take a pose for souvenir. Note: The big picture on my blogsite is one of their features. Nice dining table, nice chair and excellent center piece. I wish i could brought it home for my dining. Im still crossing my fingers, i hope they could read my blog and deliver it right on my doorstep. I would be willing to share a lift!

The Power of Paint

How does painting helps... It surely does!!!

The Start....

This is my garden before. After the longest time, i decided to do a makeover on my garden. I like it to be functional and still looked like a garden. So finally, when i happened to knew someone who can transform my garden into a look that i really like, i said my ultimate yes for a makeover. And this is how it looked like after the makeover. This is a japanese inspired garden with japanese lanterns scattered everywhere. The piedras are laid out instead of grass so that guests can gather around during occasions. This is one of the moments when i said to myself that i have to do it, i have to beautify it and make my place a better place for myself...
