Kitchen should always be inspiring, clean and refreshing for every member of the family. This kitchen is not that bad at all. The white counter top is a very nice choice though it entails extra care and maintenance. The lay out is also excellent for a small kitchen, and this lay out is easy to style and will definitely add interest by the addition of colors and other accessories. So here are the suggestions Since the kitchens lay out is already perfect, and the wood tones are a bit over whelming, painting the cabinet white is an instant make over. Distressing the cabinets are also one way to add character to the space if you want a shabby chic kitchen. Open up the area by removing some of the cabinet doors to open the shelves. So its the start of 2012, and to get what i wanted, i will post a pic and start to think of ways to make the space more interesting...this is the first for Make me Home... There are interesting pieces in this living area. The red two seater sofa and the two arm chairs are not that bad. Infact, they make an interesting pieces for a living room. The red sofa brings out a nice punch of color while the two chairs shouts industrial vibe to the space. Unfortunately, the persian rug though with a touch of red is lost in the space. But since we have an existing red sofa already, this will be the color for us to play with. The existing two seater leatherette sofa brings out color in this living room. A white and black and silver throw pillows are added to balance the playful punch of red. 2011 was quite a heavy, challenging and not so good year for me, the house was filled with sadness when i loose my mom dut to big "C'. The bright colors were filled with darkness, and emptiness was always there as i gaze through the entire house, as if there is always something missing, and that feeling will always be there...like it will be part of us forever. And so i decided to clear those things in the past and start a little bit different this time. I reaarange the existing furniture in the house and decided to bring back those like it was just yesterday, where it was intended to be. And i can say that it feels a lot different and inspiring. Bringing back those colorful cheers and memories allows us to move on and start again... Im missing my mom...with each passing day...but we have to go on, and fill our lives with colors, as we used to be...
