Leave It to Nature

Do you ever asked why the color of nature is always perfect as they are? Do you ask why the color of the sunset on the sky and its shadows on the water creates a beauty which is always appreciated? Have you ever wondered why the sun shining so bright is made perfect by the rushing water in the river underneath the sky? This is because nature on all its glory creates a unison of color that matches perfectly. Greens and woods will never be outdated because it is everywhere. Looking out of the window and seeing all those trees and grasses, will make you think how beautiful it is to be inspired by nature. And you can bring the outside in on your living space. Combining these two colors, green and browns and mixing them with other neutrals such as beige and white will give you a soothing color palette which is relaxing and fresh at the same time.

Go Monochromatic

Getting hard on choosing your color palette? Go monochomatic! Sometimes we tend to be scared on the color choices that we think that everything will not match. If you are afraid on choosing your palette, choose your favorite color instead and just play around with tinge. This living room was all about blue, from a dark blue to light blue. Blue wall became the inspiration to play with blue hues. Just dont forget to opt for a neutral colored furniture and all will set in. Adding pops of color like yellow or red will do the trick to nuetralize the color scheme. Happy decorating....

Decorating With Florals

Dainty floral designs will definitely give life to the space by incorporating it through the pillow cases. This yellow and green cases, both have the same style but of different color is a nice addition to the coldness of the neutral sofa. Adding china blue ceramic vases with green plants will match the over all look. The vase also sits on the floral embroidered mat for coherence. The look is cute and fresh at the same time.

Wish....

Dont you wish you have a small sitting area in your garden...

Just Like a Side Table...

If you happen to have a small bedroom and wanted to have a space where you can write, read, or work like in a home office, why not opt for a small work table instead of the usual side table in your bed. This work table being bigger than the usual side table can carry books, table lamps and other materials. Plus everything can be easily reach if you need some materials. Just make sure that the work table has some drawers as to maximize the storage.

Getting Color Inspiration from Artworks...

Artworks does not only beautify the space. It actually brings color to the space. Artworks should inspire the dwellers and captivates the personality of the homeowners. In fact it can also be a source of the inspirations to decorate our home. Like in this small living room, all the colors are from the colors of the artworks. The green and orange drapes, even the pillow cases covers are inspired by the artwork. With this simple tip, every color ties up together and will definitely make the space alive, fun and exciting....

The Plan for my BFF...

Last Wednesday, I got the chance to visit my bestfriends house. We’ve been talking every now and then because he’s been remodeling his house. We both love old world materials particularly something with pinoy charm. That is the reason why some of the items found in my home will also be found in his place. Actually, he found ideas on my home and makes it also in his. Best friends that we are, he seeks my advice and put my ideas in his home. It was such a big improvement comparing from before. Now, it is an eclectic Tropical Filipino house. The challenge that everyone is facing every house remodeling is how to make the vision work considering the current structure of the house. Right now, every one of us wants a house with a definite theme or with the way we wanted it to be. This was not what we are thinking of before during the house construction. Before, we are just particular on how big or small the house is, the number of bedrooms, the bathrooms, how spacious the living room and t

Happy DIY...

These past two days during my off, I felt that my creative juices are flowing again and my fingers are itching to do something interesting. Well, originally, my plan is to create a mini study table for my niece partly because, I gave her a bed and some storage area but as a student, she need to have her own desk where she can write, study or just put some of her things. Though the weather is really bad, persistent that I was, I do manage to go on the DIY store to buy the materials that I need. Actually, I could have ask the carpenter to do this for her but I am so eager to do it mainly because, I know I can do it and it’s nice to have something in her space that I personally done. And I had done it without any hassle. Well, this is just a simple project and actually it’s not very unique. But I am so proud of this because this is the first time that I have done it and its working. Very durable and can support the weight. Isn’t it clever idea for a small space? A mini table that i

Three New Projects

As promised, i already arranged my lanai and as much that i wanted to look like it was a balinese inspired one, i knew that I have to be more creative and add some more balinese element. I do hope I'm getting there. There's a lot to be done and the roofing on the extended lanai gave me the freedom to set my two solihiya chairs and my beloved almost daybed bench. What I love about this now is that the artwork and the green wall accent compliments each other. It was just recent that i add the artwork because i know i have to break the color. Green is really dominating the space. With it on the middle, its contrast to the green wall accent enhances the space and gives it a polished look. Now i have an extended seating area where i can entertain my friends. Everyone is so eager to visit the house and experience my new lanai. I am looking for an accent lighting, maybe a Persian or Moroccan lamp to light up the space. I also have to update the pillows for a more comfty look. I am

The New Sitting Area

...and this is the big reveal. Isnt it cozy, fresh and relaxing. I really want to have a balinese-resort feel seating area at the back. This is a work in progress but i know its getting there.

The beauty of wood and concrete

I was star strucked on the long L-shaped sofa with concrete base. Very clever and chic. Simply adorable. I was regretting on why i havent thought about this. This is really amazing. The throws and the upholstery blances the toughness of the concrete sofa. I want to lay down on it with a few books to read. Very nique and inviting. The fireplace takes it centerstage on this area. The continuous concrete to the fireplace is simply stunning. It binds the look together. I wonder if the heat from that fireplace will go all the way to the sofa during cold months. My curiosity is taking over me. I want to experience it. I cannot ignore that rustic wooden tray on that transition from living area to the kitchen. I want to have one because its beautiful. Nothing ever beats an all white kitchen. It exudes comfort, clean and divine. The dark wood table even out the all white color of the space, giving it a shabby chic look. That native bag is so cute in there. I even wonder whats in ther
