Erase that Meanness

I was just wearing a denim pants and a casual long sleeves. I entered the hotel and the assistants lead me to the check in counter. They requested me to leave my baggage behind so that i can fall in line easily. Guess im just a regular hotel guest for a week. When the assistant checked my luggage tag, he screamed and all of a sudden, they are all leading me to the nearest elevator. I was telling them that i have to get my luggage but they said that it will be fine. I should not be checking in on the lobby but on the executive lounge. Thats where the guest who occupies the executive suite should be checking in. Well, they might have expect that someone whos wearing a tuxedo will be their guest and not like me who wears a regular denim pants. I was having my car washed when suddenly a man whos manuevering his old and "junk like' car hit the bumper of a passing vehicle. The passing vehicle is somewhat a five year old model car and was newly painted. The driver immediately confron

New! New! New!

Ok...from this... To this! How about next month?

Different...Again!!!

Been wanting to have a new piece of furniture in the house to replace my existing two arm chairs. I was sketching for so many days to see the look that i want to achieve on my living room. I can say that i have a nice one already but its so cluttered. I think it needed some air, some space to breathe. I bought a very nice comfty sofa a few months ago but unfortunately, the sala set is too big for my living room. (Honestly, been thinking that i only needed the couch and the two single seater should be gone soon!). I also read in the magazine that sofa set is outdated, and the trend is to mix it with a totally different material. Well i have an idea but i dont know if it will fit very well and if it will be nice. My old sofa had gone so many places in the house trying every possible places to be perfect. But at the end of the day, big couch pushed on the wall with the two armchairs facing it. This is the current lay out of the sofa. Though visitors are really appreciating my living room,
This is my bedroom... I wanted to have a sitting area where can just read and watch films... The bed which was on the center before was now pushed against the wall... And displayed my artworks on the wall beside the bed.... Now I have a small space where i can be on my own, be comfortable with and do the things that i love without even getting out!!! Btw...this is how it was before ...

My Centerpiece!!!

This is my old centerpiece...But since its christmas time and its fall...i made a new one! And Im loving it...

DIY...sitting area

Well, it just so happen that i have this upholstered chestbox which caters my old magazines and stuff. Now that i like to paint even more, i think i should have to sit somewhere and not on my bed. (I have stained my bedsheets because of oil pastels!). So i pushed it near the wall and added two small pillows for an added comfort. Well im loving it!

Im loving blue!

And this is my living room. Im bluer than blue!

My stress reliever!!!

These were my artworks.... Until it was framed!!!!

Artwork!

Featuring my first artwork! And i know its not the last. Isnt it beautiful? Hooh, im so proud of myself!!!

All Japanese

Ive been keeping a japanese theme garden for quite sometime now. Actually, i love the japanese design and arts. This is the very reason why i opted for an asian theme home so that i can incorporate my love for something japanese. Remember my old japanese sofa which i removed from my living room to be on my lanai? As i was gazing a few days ago, i was asking, why the hell do i keep my japanese sofa on the back while i can put in in front so that it can be coherent with my japanese landscape! So i asked the help of my nephew (because transferring the sofa to the front will need so much effort since the woods are heavy and its a little jigsaw puzzle) and transfer the sofa right in front. So i switch the two and place this at the back, on my lanai, and place the japanese sofa in front. I was quite happy about it because now, i can entertain my guest even when im in front of the

Clean Up!!!

This is my entertainment area on my bedroom. Being at home these past few days, i became so persistent to do something and clean all the clutter. And since i wanted my room to be cluttered free, i started to think of possibilities to clean up the mess. The entertainment rack is not anymore appealing to me so i think i have to get rid of it plus the fact that it obstructs the very wide window on my space and i have to maximize its potential for an airier room. The component system should be out of here because i havent used it for so long. Its still working perfectly but my mobile phones music playlist is more updated and very handy! The narrow console table is loosing its beauty. I have to simplify my entertainment system and get away from things that are not frequently used! So removing the entertainment rack ang putting my tv on the console table is a perfect decision. The rack seats all my cds and dvds and the lowest rack, my magazines. I used the brown box as a table and placed it

A House Tour

I have some visitors last Friday and i know that all of them are also fond of beautifying their homes. While others are enjoying the big houses that they have, i have to showcase them that men can also be vain when it comes to our own homes. Living in a three bedroom-130 sqm bungalow house is a challenge. The open plan lay out can make the space look empty or cluttered. One thing that i always considered everytime im inviting some guest at home is the flow of traffic. Some of them likes to stay in my lanai, some of them, like the kids wants to watch tv, some of the oldies wants to stay beside the garden and some stays on the porch! Im so glad i have many areas to accommodate and entertain my guests! Lover of nature that i was, i am always fascinated with the beauty of local materials. Thus, these are the things that one will find on my house. Everything is nature, is earth, is life! Welcome to my house and experience it like my guests did!

Im Home at last!!!

This is what it was last week. Uncontented that i was, i always knew that i still have some things in mind. I wanted it to be homy and not just a display of what i have. So i step back for a while, contemplate and visualize how its gonna be if i made my sofa set as focal point with some flea finds as an added feature. So after a while, i start to move my bigger furnitures and achieved my inspiration! Now, ive seen the beauty of my sofa set! And see how the acquired flea market finds beautify the space. The space with twigs, some table lamps and the indoor plants all contributes to the warmth of the space. The capiz table makes its grandeur with the tea set as accessory. The space now is more inviting and not boring! And now i can say, im home!!!

The Sun after The storm!

So this was my rearranged living room several days ago. For me, it looks like a boring room with a very monochromatic color scheme. This was a drastic change from a cool summer inspired living room to a rainy and sad one. And as noticed, the room is not that vibrant, not lively and uninspired. And i know, i need to add something to make it alive and inspiring even on rainy months. And as promised, these plants will be incorporated for a more lively space. I decided to put some cacti this time. I dont know but maybe i was inspired by one of the articles in a magazine to try cactus as houseplants due to its easy adaptation and growing. So this is the finished product of my new living room. As noticed, i also changed the pillow case this time and put in a metallic gray and im glad it worked! I also removed all the faux plants and use the real plants. Native bean bags are also set aside to reveal the nice capiz cofee table. I removed all the things above the cofee table and put it undernea

Liven It Up with Plants

My previous blog describes my abode as monochomatic flea market finds that highlights the wood elements on my living room. And personally, i describe the room as dull and a little bit sad. Maybe because of what im going through personally. And as i gazed on it this morning, i found that something is missing, that i have to put something on it to make it more appealing and not so boring...I have to add real plants!!! Last summer, i blog about the tremendous change that comes with some rearangement and color splash through inexpensive accessories, now i will give you a makeover with the addition of plants, yes, bringing the outdoors in our own room! So get away with artificial plants and embrace the coolness and the life that a real plant can bring. Of course, this goes with the before and after pics so i cant wait for tommorrow! So here's a sneak peak of whats in there!

Seasons change and so am I...

So this was the summer look of my abode. Since its starting to rain and the season has change, i need to update the look to fit in the rainy months. So this is my abode now. Honestly im still missing the summer look but now i have to rearrange my things as not to be boring. I call this now, the flea market look. As the name calls, the look now highlights some of my flea market finds. Actually my mother is loving the new look. I made the side of my wall busier by putting the two single sofa and my narra chest. Now i made the wood as the center of it all and not the comfty sofa. Monochromatic as it is, i injected a few colors like green, orange and red. I am loving the two different table lamps especially when lighted at night. I removed the wooden side tables as not overpower the look. I dont know but im sporting a brown color scheme these days. Maybe due to some complications on my personal life. But eventhen, changing the look every month is a bright way to enlighten my spirit. And i

That Wooden Thing!!!

These four options are all very cute. I love the design and the simplicity of the craftmanship. The white and the beige one is perfect for a tropical theme living room while the other two with bold colored pillows are perfect for an asian house. Well, wouldnt it be nice to just lay down on this while reading or listening to music in your lanai's? Or just merely hangout with your friends enjoying a lazy sunday afternoon. Wouldnt it be nice to just sit here just texting my friends after a days work? Or sit in a cozy and comfty sofa for a very warm family conversation... Whatever it brings, it gives color to our home, as a conversational piece or an accent! It invites more talking and listening while taking advantage of a nice view of a garden Or for a bachelor to just sit down, relax and enjoy the dvd marathon... Whatever your purpose is, a nice sofa is the best thing to have. And who would not love to have a wooden sofa!!!

My Privacy Unfolds

So this is my private sanctuary. I can say that my room is a filipino-japanese inspired bedroom. My bed is a simple bed without a headboard. For so long, I am looking for something that can act as a headboard. Finally, i got to passed by a small antique store in San Juan Batangas and became curious on his items. I found the capiz window panel which is slightly bigger than my bed and was a perfect size for a headboard. I eventually purchased, cleaned and stalled it! And voila, a simple but great headboard. Now my bed becomes the focal point with the help of the capiz panel. I am still in the limbo if i will replace my entertainment system with just a small side table/night table with table lamps. I really wanted to have that look but since im a room person (i can stay on my room the entire day just watching dvd's), its harder for me to just give up what i want to do in my room. In fact, the component was my first purchase from my first salary and the television set was my sisters
