A House Tour

I have some visitors last Friday and i know that all of them are also fond of beautifying their homes. While others are enjoying the big houses that they have, i have to showcase them that men can also be vain when it comes to our own homes. Living in a three bedroom-130 sqm bungalow house is a challenge. The open plan lay out can make the space look empty or cluttered.
One thing that i always considered everytime im inviting some guest at home is the flow of traffic. Some of them likes to stay in my lanai, some of them, like the kids wants to watch tv, some of the oldies wants to stay beside the garden and some stays on the porch! Im so glad i have many areas to accommodate and entertain my guests!

Lover of nature that i was, i am always fascinated with the beauty of local materials. Thus, these are the things that one will find on my house. Everything is nature, is earth, is life!

Welcome to my house and experience it like my guests did!

The L shaped Sofa

An L shape sofa is a sofa that is literally designed in the shape of an L. It is designed like this for a number of reasons, and is a great choice for many different kinds of living rooms. Many people are buying L shaped sofas these days, in fact, for all of the benefits they offer. So, in case you have not been able to witness these benefits firsthand, here they are! First and foremost, an L shape sofa gives you more actual sitting room than does a regular sofa. Why? Well, because there is simply more of it to sit on! There is the main section (much like a normal couch), then, there is the elbow (a very relaxing spot to sit, I might add..), and the rest of the L on the end...which is usually the size of at least a small loveseat. And since there is so much room on these pieces to sit, you can fit a lot more people onto an L shaped sofa like this than you could on a regular sofa. The next benefit that an L shape sofa gives us is the benefit of being more affordable. Now, at this, you ...

Make Me Home No.4

Welcome to Make me Home edition 4. Weve been doing the dining, living and kitchen already and i guess its proper to feature a bedroom as well. This time, i want to feature a bedroom which is so typical to a filipino setting where the bedroom is shared by siblings. It is a common fact that due to limited space and budget, room sharing is an option to a modest family. Though privacy may be a little bit of a problem when sharing a space, intimacy and healthy relationships can be strengthen by sharing a room with someone who are dear to us. This room may be bit of a challenge for me. When i saw the room, i thought, a bed with a pull out will definitely solve the small space problem. But, its kinda ackward for someone to sleep on the pull out right? In fact, sleeping in a pull out is just an option for a sleep overs. It will be greater and even righteous to give a bed to everyone so they can have a space of their own. So i envisioned a "chic retreat style" for th...

The Unknown Color Choice...

Finally, i already bought the new house paint and I'm quite nervous and excited as well. Its my first time to go on bold colors and i don't know how its gonna be. I want to get out of beige and creams, bolder colors are in though I'm still so hesitant to do it. But i need some liberation, i need to have some changes and be willing to let them in. And i know its time. So i was choosing the right palette when the attendant asked me if I'm a designer. I said no. He said that I'm so meticulous on color and knows exactly what i wanted. ( Maybe not, cause i changed my mind so many times choosing the right color). I just said that i like to read magazines and get some inspirations from them. Anyway, i chose to follow my tropical theme so i chose a blue paint. With eyes closed, i said to myself that there's no backing out. Unfortunately, i think a brighter yellow will be better as a combination so i chose the yellow over the olive green. Uhm, i don't know but i love...
