On Heat...

The sun is blazing hot again. Its summer in the Philippines. Just today, it is so hot even if an eclipse happened in the morning. Even the partial sunlight doesn't diminish the heat of the day.
But everyone in the Philippines love summer. It is the season where everyone likes to hang out in the beach, or go somewhere north to experience a colder day. But no matter how we wanted to celebrate the season, this is a special time for us to bond with families and friends.
There's a lot of places to see in the area in summer. Some will go to the local beaches as these are cheaper compared with the most popular ones. Beside, the feeling is just the same when you're out there in the water.
But some will just stay at home to have their own siestas or gathering, they can make their own retreat. It is more exclusive and fun. All you have to prepare are light snacks and it will all be a fun filled day.
Others opt to just roam around the mall just to stay cool. A simple meal with the family is just as exciting as going out of town for some. Others will go on a road trip.
But no matter how you celebrate the summer season, what is constant is that you are celebrating it with your love ones. Foods to eat and places to see are just secondary, this time is a time well spent for our families. And what way we can be happier, if we are to share it with those we love the most.
Enjoy the season but don't forget to take care of yourself and your families.

Make Me Home No.4

Welcome to Make me Home edition 4. Weve been doing the dining, living and kitchen already and i guess its proper to feature a bedroom as well. This time, i want to feature a bedroom which is so typical to a filipino setting where the bedroom is shared by siblings. It is a common fact that due to limited space and budget, room sharing is an option to a modest family. Though privacy may be a little bit of a problem when sharing a space, intimacy and healthy relationships can be strengthen by sharing a room with someone who are dear to us. This room may be bit of a challenge for me. When i saw the room, i thought, a bed with a pull out will definitely solve the small space problem. The Living Room Evolution...

Would you go for a distinct look?... Or something with comfort? Actually, the last pic was my new living room. Though i love the style of my old living room, with my hard wood japanese sofa, it compromise my need for comfort. Honestly, my mother is always complaining that the wood is so hard to sit in and was not too comfty. I bought the japanese sofa last November 2009 because im looking for a japanese themed living room, and voila, i found one and i know its a great deal.
