Not so much, but i like the before...

Have you ever browsed pictures of your home and finally realized that it looks better before than now? While you are actually doing makeovers and home improvement recently, it look so much better than now. Do you resent, or you just ignored?
I experienced it always, that I do try to look at the old pics of my home and tell myself, what the hell am I thinking of throwing those stuff while it actually was so beautiful. Why do I keep on rearranging while my furnitures are better that way. I thought I learned a lot now but the end result keeps on becoming uglier. Then we just sit down in disgust, asking ourselves, am I doing good or just wasting my money for home improvements while making it actually worst.
While maybe we were actually right, we should not be despaired. That's just the way it is. Making home improvement keeps on changing over time and it all depends on our mood. What we actually saw is the simplicity before and the complexity of what is now. Actually for me, we just became so meticulous, we are on a higher level of knowing whats good and what is not because we acquired the experience already.
So every time you felt that you don't succeed in your vision, just keep on trying as this makes you more knowledgeable and skilled. Do not be surprised that the outcome is not that great, everyone is experiencing a bad hair day. So just enjoy the process and youll eventually get there.

The L shaped Sofa

An L shape sofa is a sofa that is literally designed in the shape of an L. It is designed like this for a number of reasons, and is a great choice for many different kinds of living rooms. Many people are buying L shaped sofas these days, in fact, for all of the benefits they offer. So, in case you have not been able to witness these benefits firsthand, here they are! First and foremost, an L shape sofa gives you more actual sitting room than does a regular sofa. Why? Well, because there is simply more of it to sit on! There is the main section (much like a normal couch), then, there is the elbow (a very relaxing spot to sit, I might add..), and the rest of the L on the end...which is usually the size of at least a small loveseat. And since there is so much room on these pieces to sit, you can fit a lot more people onto an L shaped sofa like this than you could on a regular sofa. The next benefit that an L shape sofa gives us is the benefit of being more affordable. Now, at this, you ...

Make Me Home No.4

Welcome to Make me Home edition 4. Weve been doing the dining, living and kitchen already and i guess its proper to feature a bedroom as well. This time, i want to feature a bedroom which is so typical to a filipino setting where the bedroom is shared by siblings. It is a common fact that due to limited space and budget, room sharing is an option to a modest family. Though privacy may be a little bit of a problem when sharing a space, intimacy and healthy relationships can be strengthen by sharing a room with someone who are dear to us. This room may be bit of a challenge for me. When i saw the room, i thought, a bed with a pull out will definitely solve the small space problem. But, its kinda ackward for someone to sleep on the pull out right? In fact, sleeping in a pull out is just an option for a sleep overs. It will be greater and even righteous to give a bed to everyone so they can have a space of their own. So i envisioned a "chic retreat style" for th...

Creating a Summer Look

Since its month end and before the summer ends (though as noticed, temperatures keep rising as we approach the supposedly raining months), i decided to upgrade the look of my place. In fact, this is so much anticipated not just because i really wanted a summer look (which is inspired by the last edition of real living magazine) but because were celebrating mothers day and my mothers birthday. And i would like to say that this inspiration is a tribute to my mom who little by little is adjusting to my new found passion on house decorating. As noticed, i already incorporated my flea market finds on my nest. The native drums, candelabras and two garden set stool which became my side tables are now part of my design. The old artworks are still there. I managed to blend in my old pieces, those that i already have in my new color scheme. In fact, this were my considerations before i chose the blues over the creams as wall color. I made it sure that my old pieces will never be outdated or out...
