The Unknown Color Choice...

Finally, i already bought the new house paint and I'm quite nervous and excited as well. Its my first time to go on bold colors and i don't know how its gonna be. I want to get out of beige and creams, bolder colors are in though I'm still so hesitant to do it. But i need some liberation, i need to have some changes and be willing to let them in. And i know its time.

So i was choosing the right palette when the attendant asked me if I'm a designer. I said no. He said that I'm so meticulous on color and knows exactly what i wanted. ( Maybe not, cause i changed my mind so many times choosing the right color). I just said that i like to read magazines and get some inspirations from them.

Anyway, i chose to follow my tropical theme so i chose a blue paint. With eyes closed, i said to myself that there's no backing out. Unfortunately, i think a brighter yellow will be better as a combination so i chose the yellow over the olive green. Uhm, i don't know but i love the yellow more. So i have the blue water and blue sky so why not have the sunshine on it. Perfect getaway to paradise.

The painting will start on Thursday but i cant wait so i immediately paint a portion to know if i made the right choice. It made me more nervous because i just cant figure out how its gonna be when its all done. Well, the yellow is nice but I'm so disappointed that i cant see the color at night. But I'm still hopeful that the color will popped. I hope yellow will be a nice compliment for brown, green and orange cabinetry. (I'm still thinking if i will paint my dining yellow, but for now, i think the blue will extend on my dining for a continuous flow. Anyway, blue will be nicer for my white display cabinet on my dining.)

So up to know I'm still wondering how come i chose that color over the others. That after so many trips to the paint store, i decided to choose it. I don't know until i saw a strange object on my refrigerator!

I bought this small rug several months ago and placed it over the ref as a runner.

It may be coincident but the color of the rug is the same color for the new house paint with blue and yellow placed side by side.

And i said to myself, at the back of my mind, this is really my personal color choice!

The L shaped Sofa

An L shape sofa is a sofa that is literally designed in the shape of an L. It is designed like this for a number of reasons, and is a great choice for many different kinds of living rooms. Many people are buying L shaped sofas these days, in fact, for all of the benefits they offer. So, in case you have not been able to witness these benefits firsthand, here they are! First and foremost, an L shape sofa gives you more actual sitting room than does a regular sofa. Why? Well, because there is simply more of it to sit on! There is the main section (much like a normal couch), then, there is the elbow (a very relaxing spot to sit, I might add..), and the rest of the L on the end...which is usually the size of at least a small loveseat. And since there is so much room on these pieces to sit, you can fit a lot more people onto an L shaped sofa like this than you could on a regular sofa. The next benefit that an L shape sofa gives us is the benefit of being more affordable. Now, at this, you ...

The Living Room Evolution...

Would you go for a distinct look?... Or something with comfort? Actually, the last pic was my new living room. Though i love the style of my old living room, with my hard wood japanese sofa, it compromise my need for comfort. Honestly, my mother is always complaining that the wood is so hard to sit in and was not too comfty. I bought the japanese sofa last November 2009 because im looking for a japanese themed living room, and voila, i found one and i know its a great deal. Ive been looking for the same kind for so long and this one is I thought perfect for the theme. Unfortunately, and by experience, i cannot last long sitting on the hardwood even if pillows are there for relieve, its just too hard and painful on the butt! So one time when i was in a mall just trying to look for a replacement, i saw this cream sofa made of real wood and leather. It was a perfect choice because it looks like the one in the 4th edition of real home living magazine, the color book which became my inspi...

It started

And it started a week ago. For whatever it may cost, I had started it. There's a lot of problems initially but i really wanted to focus on the goal as i know preparation takes more time and effort. I want to enjoy the process and I don't want to be stressed about it. I'm so excited and i cannot contain it.
