 Wow, its been so long since i updated this blog, and guess, its old fashioned now because the in thing is vlog. But then, i am more comfortable in writing than in speaking so i rather use this platform.  As per my house, yeah its still a never ending process. I like to add a little, scrathed some more, add another, i am really pickle minded and i admit it. But im learning as i go along and that is what is more important. I also changed company, yes i never got to mention it. My home is a product of that retirement.  Anyway just updating this and wanted to find out if this is still active, and it is.  At last, it all coming together. After almost 7 months of house construction, its already on its final stretch. It's already coming and I'm so excited. So let me walk you through my abode. I chose a camrose sofa. I want a very sleek sofa with narrow arms as not to waste space. I chose a light gray color to complement the wall color and my gray floors. Colorful throw pillows adorned this seating space as Christmas is around the corner. A small round side table with ottoman under makes this piece multi functional as this is table and a pull out ottoman to sit as well. A milk glass lampshade compliments the modern spanish theme while a modern floor lamp balances the old and new. The native ottoman highlights the space and make this room homey and relaxing.   Right now I'm super busy doing my daytime job and managing my future project through mobile phone and other medium. Yes, the house construction is ongoing and on its third month already. How time flies. The house is already taking its form. Honestly, Im lost now on my vision as i cannot visualize how the house will gonna be. But luckily, i really trust my contractor and i do know, they are doing their best to provide me a beautiful house as they usually do to their clients. I'm still in awe every time i will visit the site, i cannot believed that I'm building my second house and its for our retirement. Its mixed emotion actually as I'm foregoing a huge amount of money on my bank account to put it into what i can say an investment. My funds are depleting this time, but i know that i can pull this off. But over all I'm super excited to be living in this house, though for now its just our weekend home.  I am so excited to share with you the exterior house plan....enjoy... From a modern bahay kubo to a more mediterranean style. At first i want to have a modern bahay kubo but this can be as such also right? hahaha I love the simplicity but grandeur of this style. Im seeing a beautiful flower garden and beautiful landscape and rocks to compliment the design. Will update you as i go along. The construction already started. The foundation was already done. Im becoming more excited as the days passed.

 And it started a week ago. For whatever it may cost, I had started it. There's a lot of problems initially but i really wanted to focus on the goal as i know preparation takes more time and effort. I want to enjoy the process and I don't want to be stressed about it. I'm so excited and i cannot contain it.

The final costing was revealed and it was totally out of my budget.  After careful consideration i still gave the approval to proceed with the project on the following consideration: 1. This is an investment also on my part. The property will increase its value in time even if the structure gets old. Usually the current value will always be higher than the acquisition and the construction cost. 2. This is my dream home and i want to push this to the limit cause anyway this will be our retirement home. I want to give my all to this project 3. The maximum guaranteed cost is still within my guaranteed savings. Meaning, i still have money to build this house with money still left on my bank account after the construction. But i have to properly select all the materials for me to save for the construction as the exterior wall painting and the fencing is still not considered on the budget. But nevertheless I'm still very hopeful that it can still be accommodated once the project is on-go...

Finally, my contractor submitted the revised floor plan based on my approved budget. The specification is still the same, two bedroom and single CR cause this is just a weekend home/rest house. The first floor is an open plan layout. My bedroom is connected to the lanai as well as the living room. I actually conceptualized this home and I just have the contractor put it into a drawing. The contractor hid the bedroom and the door leading to the comfort room.  The second floor is dedicated to my sister and my nieces because i wanted them to have some privacy. As you can see, I interchanged the two rooms cause i want my room to be near the lanai as I want to entertain friends. Beside the upper room is connected into a family area which is a bridge that separated the living room and the dining room. Im so excited with this design as I know that this is new to the usual design of the house. I am so excited for this though pressure and stress is taking over me already. Please pray for me...

I was outside the house last weekend when my contractor saw me while I was watering the plants. The wife who is an interior designer informed me that they actually revised some on the plan to suit my budget. But its not a big change she said, and it made me so happy. So they are still working on it despite my limited budget. And kudos to them, I do suggested also some cost savings suggestions but never compromising the whole aesthetics. I hope they had a better plan which I still believe, they had. I really really like the house, it was my first collaboration with a designer. I am envisioning how it will turn out and already planning the over look of the interiors. It will be disappointing to change the plan, and not to push through with it because i dream of that house. I hope it will come true.

Remember the last post of mine regarding my dream home, i was so excited for it cause i know its really me, and I've been waiting for this for such a long time. But last week my contractor called me to reveal the cost of the construction. It was way above my budget. I'm quite disappointed as i am approximately expecting that my budget is quite substantial already for the project. I just think it over for a couple of days and called my contractor afterwards. I honestly told him that the initial cost was out of my budget and i told him my option. I told him if he can work it out based on the budget that i gave and suggested some changes to make the cost a little bit lower. I am still hoping that they will exert an effort to meet my demands though I'm quite frustrated already. But anyway, i still have a little bit of hope that it will push through or if not, will have to change my plans. I'm thinking if i will buy a ready for occupancy house...im still keeping my options o...

 At last, been dreaming of this for so long, i am about to build my dream home. I can say that its not the big house that i wanted it to be but its a modest home for relaxing and for staycation. Im super excited for how it will turn out. I discussed the things that i want and the look that i want to achieve on my contractor. Im super excited to show you the floor plan of the house The first floor has one room meant for the rest of my family. It has a spaceous lanai for entertaining which i requested. The house will be 1.5 meters above ground. The way i also requested it to be. The living room and dining room will be with high ceiling, open plan layout and with a modest kitchen that will be colorful and striking. Hey guys, its been a while since I last updated my blog. It seems that im pre occupied with so much video blog these past few days and I totally forgot to make updates on my blog. But here I go again, wanting to write and share what im into right now. Actually, I was inspired by Mylene Dizons house that's why I opt to change the look of my space. I created a mood board so that I will be guided on what I really wanted to achieve. This mini makeover wont need new furnitures since I think I can pull out the inspiration using my existing furniture. What only missing is a low table that can act as a two seater bench and voila, I just happen to find one and its made of narra wood and perfect for what I envisioned. As said, I will be using my existing three seater gallinera chair. Im so inloved with this seat and honestly, this is what I dreamt off. Its so vintage, classic and elegant. Yes, its been so long since I updated this blog. It doesn't mean that I dont have the time but because I'm so up to decorating and stuff and I am not uploading this on my blog. Surprise! A lot has change. I added two aquariums at home, I have a pacu fish in a 75gal aquarium and I have another variety of fish in a 20 gal aquarium. Seems my house is quite a pet friendly one now. Haha. I also managed to own my gallinera three seater sofa which I adore so much. Yeah its my dream to have one. Now I have so many chairs at home, can you believe that. I have four seating areas already and its freaking me out. I need also to updo my decorations, I don't know if I'm still into Asian decorating but I still do want to keep my Buddha accents at home. I think I better start to clean it up, eliminate some and just keep my beautiful accessories so that I will not messed up. Hey. Whats up. Ive been dying to tore down that Christmas spirit for no reason at all. Maybe because I know its over and I have to go back to my real world. Its not that I don't want the season, in fact, I cant wait each time. I decorated several months ago, I think way back October and so I have to start to unpacked earlier than most of the people on earth. I don't know but I find myself leaning to blues and green this time. I see that I need to freshen up a bit. I need to start a new, and what a way to start to feel the fresh bloom of the flowers around. I hated faux plant actually, but for some reason, I am starting to loved them. Maybe because I don't have the responsibility of taking care of real plants which I don't know if I still can. Its hard to maintain and heartbreaking to see its dying.  You see I still maintain the look. I also changed the side tables and go for a more minimalistic look.  For this year, i want to go on the traditional colors but not too traditional. Meaning, i don't want overwhelming Christmas vibe but still christmasie. No more Christmas trees. Checkered is the new Christmas for me.  I love the display shelves on the side. It will be the home of my different Christmas accessories. Oh Santa is coming to town on my home. I love how many santa figures are gathered all over. I still made some editing to clean out the look. I added two not too similar side tables. I cant wait for the final Christmas look

I ate twice already in Sizzling Plate in SM Lipa City. The first time we visit the store, I ordered this salad because they don't have enough veggies served on their menu. And when I went back with my friends, I again ordered the same salad plate, their mixed green salad which I liked very much. The sweet cherry tomatoes, the cranberry dressing, the crispy lettuce, its worth a try...

You see, I again for the nth time disposed my sofa set, the wicker one. Actually my friend wants it and given the opportunity to have a new look on my home, I gave in. So I was left with my old sitting pieces and I was amazed that I still have the complete living room set up even if the wickered sofa was gone. So let me share with you my living room now.  I love how it actually looks now. I love that it highlights my wooden pieces and how coherent it is with my antique theme. The biggest piece, a three seater wooden sofa was given a softer look by bringing in some pillows and upholstery. Again, the centerpiece is my narra chest which is an antique from a flea shop in Makati. I love when the lampshade was lit up to bring warm and coziness to the area. This is another view with a closer look at my sofa. I am glad that I chose that transparent lamp as not to cramp the space. These are my ultimate comfort food these days... The garlic mushroom from Pizza Hut is to die for. I love the meaty flavor of the bell button mushrooms with a balance of saltiness and spiciness in it. This is a try for just a cents. Of course the ultimate comfort food will always be pasta. Their Aglio Olio is a nice combination with the buttered mushrooms. I just love the simplicity of it. It will be a plus if there will be enough olive oil and chilis in it. And how about fresh greens to go with it...Its really an ultimate fresh and healthy overload.

It was a fine day when we headed to Calatagan Batangas for the annual DMCI Family Day. Aquaria in Playa Calatagan is a chosen venue for the said event. It was a nice resort. The sea is clean and safe. There are grasses underneath the water which makes it perfect home for fishes. In fact i've seen some as I headed towards the water. The waves are minimal making you enjoy without worrying about drowning for those like me who doesn't know how to swim. But the sea level can be very low on low tide. Plus, sea urchins are plenty so everyone are encourage have their slipper on while on the beach. The sand is perfect for camping. Overnight stay on camp tents are allowed on the beachfront. Though they don't have hotels or rooms to stay, they are allowing tenents for a night. It would be perfect for someone like me wanting to stay on the beachfront till morning. Trees on the beachfront are protecting you from the night breeze. Look how clean is the be...
